Assignment Objective

To enable GIA’s strategy 2025-2027 a new operating model has been finalized. A specific Executive role has been established to look after Digital Transformation (including Information Technology and Data). A specific senior resource is required to oversee and manage the team and deliverables while elevating the assurance and insights to include strategic inputs and industry best practice.

Full Assignment Scope:

The resource will amongst others, but not limited to, be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee and manage the portfolio and the team as well as senior stakeholders
  • Ensure audit plan for remainder of 2025 is sufficient to discharge GIA’s function and duties
  • Oversee, manage and review audits on the plan and ensure strategic insights and best practices are provided throughout the review (planning, fieldwork and reporting)
  • Prepare Board reporting (and specifically Group IT Committee) where necessary for the CIA review
  • Audits on the audit plan include IT (including traditional IT and non-traditional IT like Gen AI, Cloud), Cyber and data (data migration, data management and data infrastructure reviews)

Skills Required:

Seasoned Executive resource with at least 10 years’ experience is required with extensive experience in the following:

  • Specialist / SME with IT, Cyber and Data experience.
  • Banking (or similar) industry experiencing rapid change and innovation is required.
  • Executive and Senior stakeholder engagements
  • Audit and Board reporting and elevating outcomes with a strategic and industry lens and insights
  • Managing a team at all levels with line manager responsibilities to be filled
