Hisense and NBT, a FAST (free ad-supported television) and AVOD (advertising-based video on demand) platform, have announced a global partnership.

Since 8 May, NBT’s array of channels and content has been available on the VIDAA platform, accessible through Hisense Connected Smart TV’s  and more than 400 other leading smart TV brands that use the VIDAA operating system. These include Toshiba and others.

The strategic alliance will bring free, high-quality entertainment to millions of viewers across the globe, offering content without subscriptions or hidden fees.

The rollout will span across key regions. In South Africa the NBT application is found on the home page on Vidaa 6 and above.

NBT’s platform is powered by OTTera and is home to a wide selection of FAST channels, including Reuters News, Impact Gospel, Kidz Bop, Drool, Dark Matter. The platform also has a wide selection of video on demand content from Dooya, Amagi and other content partners, offering genres that range from documentaries, movies, comedy series to lifestyle and reality TV, all curated to serve a global and culturally rich audience.
