Troye has announced the general availability of HPE Aruba Networking’s AI-powered, single-vendor Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution.
Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is a cybersecurity and networking paradigm first coined by Gartner in August 2019. SASE converges wide-area networking (WAN) and network security services like Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Data Encryption Management (DEM) into a unified, cloud-native architecture.
Troye CEO Helen Kruger says the integration of these solutions ensures that businesses can safeguard their data and maintain uninterrupted access to critical applications, regardless of where their workforce is located. “Partnering with HPE Aruba enables us to offer unparalleled networking and security solutions that are both resilient and scalable.
“Our goal is to empower businesses to embrace digital transformation without compromising on security or performance. With our comprehensive approach to SASE, we are setting a new benchmark for what it means to support modern enterprises,” she adds.
By unifying these technologies into a single cloud-native platform, organisations dramatically simplify their network and security operations. This consolidation not only slashes operational complexity but also ensures consistent enforcement of security policies across every user and device, strengthening the overall security posture.
At the same time, built-in SD-WAN capabilities and dynamic path selection optimise bandwidth and boost application performance. Finally, by adopting a Zero Trust approach—verifying every user and device before granting access – organisations gain a more adaptive, resilient defence against ever-evolving threats.
Troye’s SASE offering bundles HPE Aruba SD-WAN with cloud-delivered security services:
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA): Grants granular, identity-based access to applications without exposing the network perimeter. The AI analytics monitor behavioural patterns and automatically adapt policies to block anomalous sessions.
- Secure Web Gateway (SWG): Inspects all web traffic in real time, protecting users from malware, phishing, and data leakage. Cloud-hosted policy engines ensure minimal latency and continuous updates from global threat-intelligence feeds.
- Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB): Provides visibility and control over sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud services (for example, Office 365, AWS, Salesforce). It enforces data-loss prevention (DLP) rules and encrypts sensitive information in motion.
- Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM): Optimise User Experience and Performance. Aruba DEM provides real-time visibility into application and network performance from the user’s perspective. It enables proactive issue detection, user-based access control, and performance optimisation – ensuring fast, reliable, and secure digital experiences across the network.
- Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN): Orchestrates multiple transport links (MPLS, broadband, LTE) for optimal path selection. AI-driven WAN optimisation and packet steering improve application performance by up to 60%. All components are orchestrated through Aruba Central, HPE’s cloud management platform, which provides unified visibility, AI-driven recommendations, and role-based reporting.
