Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled BI Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that drive process improvements, enhance cash flow, and optimise stock management. This role requires a technically strong professional who can manipulate, analyse, and visualise data to support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using Power BI, Power Query, and DAX to monitor operational and financial performance.
  • Utilise Microsoft Fabric to integrate and manage data pipelines, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and fit for purpose.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis with Python to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources using Microsoft SQL to support reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Provide insights into stock utilisation and turnover to help reduce excess inventory and free up working capital.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to analyse cash flow patterns and recommend data-driven actions to improve liquidity.
  • Proactively identify areas where data can drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Support ad hoc data analysis requests and deliver clear, concise recommendations to stakeholders.

Technical Skills & Experience
Essential:

  • Proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar data-focused role within manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Fabric
    • Microsoft SQL
    • Power BI
    • Power Query
    • DAX
    • Python (specifically for data analysis and manipulation)

  • Strong data manipulation skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot patterns and anomalies.
  • Experience designing and delivering reporting solutions that drive business improvements.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with inventory management and financial data in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics).
