Job purpose:
The role of IT Architect – Business and Data is responsible for the strategic business transformation within Company and overseeing critical deliverables; such as business capability models, business capabilities, and value streams. This role is further responsible for leading the architecture of new organizations or re-architecting aspects of existing business operations and capabilites.
Key Performance Areas
Business Architecture Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Architecture (EA) to establish governance, focusing on business architecture.
- Develop and monitor the Business Architecture Vision, Capability Model, Business Process Modelling, and Value Streams for Company.
- Ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Business Architecture Blueprint & Roadmap:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and architects (applications, technology, security) to select reference models and create baseline and target business architecture descriptions.
- Perform gap analysis and develop a roadmap aligned with Company’s strategic objectives.
Business Architecture Governance:
- Manage activities to develop, maintain, and govern business architecture.
- Ensure architecture goals are met and assess best practices to improve business frameworks and data quality management.
Data Architecture Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement the Data Architecture Vision and Principles.
- Collaborate with other IT divisions to create data management practices and ensure data architecture goals are achieved.
Data Architecture Blueprint & Roadmap:
- Consult with stakeholders to develop an Enterprise Data Model, data flows, integration patterns, and master data management architecture.
- Conduct gap analysis and participate in creating a Data Warehouse, Data Mart, or Data Lake roadmap.
Opportunities and Implementation Planning:
- Identify business and data change opportunities and constraints.
- Perform gap analysis, refine architecture dependencies, and create implementation and migration plans for business and data transformation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Management:
- Develop a stakeholder engagement strategy, map stakeholders by influence, and manage expectations.
- Maximize opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve stakeholder relationships to support architecture goals.
