Main Purpose of Job
The Commercial Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial strategy through pricing analysis, business process evaluation, and data-driven insights. This role will be responsible for analysing customer trends, pricing models, operational performance, and profitability metrics to enable strategic decision-making. By combining pricing intelligence with broader business analysis, the incumbent will help identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and value creation across the commercial organisation.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Analyse pricing structures and develop pricing strategies that align with business objectives.
- Monitor commercial performance and provide insights into sales trends, margin performance, and customer behaviour.
- Identify and quantify areas for business improvement through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to develop business cases and provide commercial recommendations.
- Develop models, dashboards, and tools to support dynamic pricing, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Support the implementation of pricing changes, including communication to internal stakeholders and impact analysis.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports for EXCO and senior leadership, highlighting key commercial insights.
- Partner with IT and Business Solutions teams to enhance data availability and reporting accuracy.
- Lead or support ad hoc commercial and customer projects to drive value and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement and drive new projects within the business
- Customer Solutions: Interaction with customers to provide full supply chain solutions by focusing on value-added services
- Identify areas of improvement within the business and, by involving the necessary personnel with the relevant skills, propose the required solutions
- Ensure the Commercial Enablement team remains informed of the technologies and capabilities available in the market
- Keep EXCO informed of trends within the industry and business

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Logistics, or a related field
- Honours or post-graduate qualification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Pricing Analyst, or similar commercial role
- Proven experience in financial analysis, pricing, and business performance evaluation
- Experience within logistics, transport, or a service-driven commercial environment is advantageous
