A well established company in the East Rand is looking to hire an IT Support Specialist on a contract basis
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving
- Solid understanding of hardware, software, and networking
- Skilled in PC and laptop troubleshooting
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and PowerPoint
- Vendor management experience is a plus
- Comfortable working in global, multi-site environments
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is a plus
Duties:
- Provide on-site support to end users by diagnosing and resolving issues related to computer hardware, software, services, and applications
- Fulfill assigned change/service requests and tasks promptly and accurately
- Respond to incidents nearing or breaching SLA thresholds to maintain service quality
- Support end users in areas such as Microsoft 365, Teams, PC support, LAN/WAN, and video conferencing
- Utilize Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps
- Perform intermediate-level administration of Microsoft SharePoint Online
- Support mobile devices and manage mobile device management (MDM) systems
- Assist specialist teams with server, network, and telephony infrastructure tasks
- Maintain accurate IT asset records in ServiceNow’s Asset Management database
- Work alongside the IT Manager to ensure optimal performance of IT systems
- Escalate incidents or issues appropriately based on impact, severity, and urgency
- Adhere strictly to IT security policies, procedures, and Atlas Copco Way standards
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality and timely delivery
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align IT services with business needs
- Coordinate with local vendors for IT equipment procurement, maintenance, and support
