A well-established engineering solutions provider serving clients across multiple industrial sectors, is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join their team based in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with strong PLC and SCADA experience to contribute to cutting-edge automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for industrial automation systems
- Integrate and configure SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control
- Collaborate with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC/SCADA software and hardware
- Support commissioning and testing phases of projects on client sites
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and company procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PLC programming
- Proven experience working with SCADA systems
- BSc in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Alternatively, a strong BTech candidate with relevant experience will be considered
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell, ABB
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Schneider platforms is highly preferred due to internal systems
- Excellent problem-solving and project coordination skills
