An established and innovative technology company based in Irene, Gauteng is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer (Java & Delphi) to join their Software Development Department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on high-quality web applications in a technically challenging and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise-level applications with a focus on Java EE technologies. A strong background in Delphi and experience across full-stack development will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Java EE and related technologies
- Write clean, scalable code following best practices and development standards
- Collaborate across teams to design, implement and integrate complex solutions
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code reliability and performance
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical mentorship
- Maintain and update existing software and applications
- Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed
- Document all aspects of software systems
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software development or a similar role
- Strong Java EE development background
- Proficiency in IDEs such as NetBeans or Eclipse
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle)
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web frameworks
- Experience with front-end and back-end technologies
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and domain-driven design (basic knowledge acceptable)
- Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodology experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
- Unit and integration testing experience
