Job Description
Our client is looking for a dynamic, energetic and self-motivated individual to join their new and exciting AI team from their Johannesburg Office. This includes the experimentation, design and implementation of new and innovative AI projects for the company. Utilising the best AI tools out there, including LLMs such as GPT, this role involves building company-wide projects from the bottom up. It puts the candidate at the forefront of the company’s and the world’s upcoming technological path. The candidate must have a solid work ethic, work to meet deadlines, engage and collaborate with team members/management and follow directions and respect department/corporate policies.
Responsibilities
- Keep an eye on emerging tools, technologies and methods, and how these might benefit and/or create new opportunities for the business.
- Experiment with the latest LLMs and AI creations; testing their accuracies and exploring their possible uses within the company.
- Test optimizations and assess feasibility on prospective technologies using proofs of concept to demonstrate the value and applicability of new tools
- Use AI tools to design and implement systems using various, new/existing platforms like AWS, Docker etc. in multiple languages like Python and Java.
- Develop readable, maintainable, and modular code using Agile principles.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology related fields or equivalent experience.
- Experience/interest in using AI tools like ChatGPT and other LLMs.
- Experience working with machine learning advantageous.
- Strong competency in code development languages like Python and Java.
- Experience with CI/CD tools e.g. GitHub, Gitlab.
- Familiarity with modern cloud technology, SaaS products, and low code platforms advantageous e.g. AWS, Azur
