Senior Web Analytics Specialist
We are seeking a Senior Web Analytics Specialist to join our digital team and lead the configuration, optimization, and reporting of our web analytics systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in Google Analytics, SEO, data visualization tools, and strong analytical acumen to drive data-informed decisions across departments. You will be instrumental in configuring analytics on both legacy and newly developed web portals, enabling insights that support strategic digital goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure Google Analytics for the Portal, including setup on the legacy and new platforms.
Review and validate company current web analytics requirements and business needs.
Deliver a comprehensive report and project plan outlining estimated hours and tasks required to complete the full analytics implementation.
Set up and configure:
o Google Analytics dashboards and custom reports
o Monthly automated reporting per company department
o Role-based access and hierarchy (Super Admin, Admin, Analyst)
o User logins for dashboard access
Integrate website and social media data into Power BI via web connectors, exposing all available dimensions and metrics for analysis.
Maintain and optimize Google Search Console to support SEO goals and search visibility.
Provide support and troubleshooting for analytics issues across departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
NQF Level 6 Diploma or higher in one of the following:
o Digital Marketing
o Multimedia
o Web Development
o Information Systems
o Systems Development
Required Experience:
6+ years’ experience in configuring and optimizing Google Analytics
2+ years’ experience configuring Google Search Console
4+ years’ experience in data visualization using tools such as:
o Power BI
o Google Analytics
o Google Data Studio
2+ years strong hands-on experience in SEO optimization and analysis
Proven examples of:
o SEO reports showcasing improvements in search engine rankings
o Advanced Google Analytics reports highlighting website traffic performance
