My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join them in on a permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify stakeholders and determine activities for analysis
  • Track and communicate progress throughout the SDLC
  • Estimate analysis work and understand source systems (databases & process flows)
  • Investigate, evaluate, design, and propose solutions
  • Validate requirements with stakeholders and document them clearly
  • Facilitate workshops/meetings and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Negotiate, influence, and resolve conflicts
  • Prioritize business requirements
  • Use diagrams, models, and documentation to conceptualize requirements
  • Define assumptions, constraints, and risks
  • Ensure requirements meet quality standards and align with business architecture
  • Ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs
  • Assist testing teams to validate solutions against requirements
  • Assess readiness of the organization to implement solutions
  • Identify new capabilities needed to meet business objectives
  • Define which capabilities will be delivered by projects/iterations
  • Act as the bridge between business and delivery teams during the SDLC
  • Document and manage requirements
  • Investigate production issues and propose solutions
  • Perform data analysis to find issues and opportunities for improvement

Experience

  • Significant experience in business analysis within a formal environment
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Exposure to contact centre environments
  • Experience with debt collection processes (advantageous)
  • Hands-on experience using SQL for querying databases and creating test cases
  • Experience working within a Scrum/Agile development process

  • Strong business knowledge of the finance industry
  • Solid understanding of business analysis concepts, tools, and methodologies
