Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Innovate: Create statistical models and algorithms using various libraries and abstractions.
- Analyze & Discover: Conduct exploratory data analysis, wrangle data, and discover new insights from diverse datasets.
- Collaborate & Support: Work with senior data scientists and engineers to implement and deploy solutions. You’ll provide insights to our BI and BA teams and help monitor and maintain models in production.
- Learn & Grow: Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques, conduct self-development, and research best practices in the field.
Experience and Qualification
- Education: A Master’s or PhD in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematical Statistics, or Actuarial Science is preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a statistical and/or data science role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in a programming toolset, particularly Python or R. Experience with C, C++, or Java is a plus.
- Experience with large datasets and distributed computing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and optimization.
- Familiarity with data mining, data structures, and various machine learning techniques like Supervised and Unsupervised Learning.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong desire to work in cross-functional teams, and an agile mindset.
Desired Skills
