A Very well established company in the East Rand is seeking a National Technical Manager to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diesel / Auto Electrical/ Millwright Trade test
- Higher Management qualification
- Experience in training technical staff
- Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of technicians delivering services to external clients, ensuring high standards of performance.
- Diagnose machine issues and implement the most cost-effective and accurate solutions.
- Complete necessary forms and documentation as part of the company’s standard service procedures.
- Maintain and manage all machine Service and Parts Manuals to ensure up-to-date and accurate information.
- Design and implement a comprehensive training strategy for technicians to enhance skill sets and operational efficiency.
- Ensure technicians meet OEM-required training standards and certifications.
- Develop and establish a standardized maintenance program for contract equipment to optimize performance.
- Provide technical support on equipment nationwide, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
- Regularly compile technical reports on equipment performance and communicate findings to OEMs.
- Analyze and report on warranty claims, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and control subcontractor expenditures, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
- Oversee workshop budgets and lead the planning process for financial allocations.
- Facilitate weekly national meetings with department managers to discuss key operational metrics.
- Travel to various branches as required to support operations and ensure consistency in service delivery.
