If you’re a UX-driven designer who enjoys turning research and insight into clean, human-centred interfaces, this role could be a good fit. It’s a 6-month contract in Johannesburg, starting in October, suited to someone at intermediate level with around 3 to 5 years of experience.
The work involves shaping digital experiences that make complex information easy to act on. You’ll be part of projects where user research meets visual design, with a strong focus on understanding people’s journeys and designing with their needs in mind.
Some of the things you’ll be involved in:
- Mapping customer journeys, testing experiences, and surfacing pain points that need solving
- Translating insights, data, and trends into usable concepts for digital products
- Creating designs that align with brand standards while still feeling fresh and purposeful
- Supporting digital product development and enhancements through research, prototyping, and iteration
- Collaborating on customer experience initiatives, A/B testing, and feedback loops across teams
- Handling smaller project workstreams where you’ll balance time, quality, and detail
- Keeping an eye on usability improvements, data-driven tweaks, and process innovations
The environment is collaborative but also expects you to be self-directed. A good fit is someone who can manage tasks independently, contribute ideas, and keep up with new design practices and tools.
If you’re keen to grow your capability, bring your UX mindset to real business challenges, and enjoy seeing how design can directly influence decision making, this could be the right contract for you.
