Sage has launched its integrated Sage HR & Payroll Advanced solution for mid-market companies in South Africa.
Sage HR & Payroll Advanced helps medium-sized businesses work more effectively by automating and streamlining HR and payroll tasks across the employment journey, from recruitment, onboarding, time tracking and fully compliant payroll processes through to leave management, performance management, and employee expense claims. Businesses can tailor the software to fit specific payroll processes, reporting needs and integration requirements – making it a good fit for those with more complex organisational structures, like multiple departments or locations.
The solution empowers business leaders and the HR team with accurate data and actionable insights and analytics to identify trends across the entire business. Sage Payroll Advanced and Sage HR also drives better employee engagement and gives time back to payroll and HR teams through its powerful employee self-service functionality. Employees can manage their personal information, documents, time off, expenses and performance in the Sage HR mobile app. They can view and download their payslips on the go.
Gerhard Hartman, vice-president for medium business at Sage Africa & Middle East, says: “Sage HR & Payroll Advanced allows businesses to access and manage everything they need from a single digital platform in the cloud. It’s a scalable solution for larger payroll and HR teams that enables them to be fully hands-on with easy batching and automating the hard stuff—delivering amazing work-life experiences for everyone in the process.”
The new solution addresses the growing demand among HR and payroll teams for technology that helps them streamline administration, so they can focus their energies on employee experience and talent management.
Sage’s The Changing Face of HR report – which surveyed 1,000 HR and business leaders worldwide including South Africa – shows that 73% of HR executives agreed their team today focuses primarily on processes. Despite acknowledging that automation and analytics free up time to focus on the more strategic things, just 54% said they are currently using HR automation.
Pieter Bensch, executive vice-president for the UKIA region and MD for the UKI at Sage, comments: “We put our customers at the centre of every solution we build because their needs drive our innovation. That’s how we help them stay ahead of change, deliver exceptional employee experiences, and create the workplaces of the future. HR and payroll are no longer back-office functions, they are central to building resilient, competitive businesses. With Sage HR & Payroll Advanced, we’re giving organisations the tools to future-proof their operations: adapting quickly to new regulations, scaling seamlessly as they grow, and unlocking insights that shape smarter people strategies.”
