Responsibilities

  • Hardware Lifecycle Management: Executing end-to-end hardware operations, including staging, setup, startups, and shutdowns (racks, hard drives, switches) using precise checklists and standard protocols.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Performing rapid diagnostics, quickly identifying root-causes, and replacing faulty components to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Quality & Compliance: Conducting rigorous post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling alignment with safety protocols and Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
  • Operational Excellence: Efficiently completing assigned tickets in alignment with KPIs and SLAs. You’ll maintain a strong sense of accountability for service quality and facility ownership.
  • Knowledge Contribution: Actively providing feedback, creating technical documentation (KB Articles, SOPs, lessons learned), and contributing to our central knowledge library.
  • Safety & Teamwork: Participating in daily safety briefings, adhering strictly to safety procedures, and proactively collaborating within a local or geographically dispersed team.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Center Engineer.
  • Exceptional server hardware knowledge with a deep understanding of component and system-type failures.
  • Solid experience with IPMI utilization in diagnostics and administering software tools (diagnostics, FW updates).
  • Experience with real-time issue resolution during new deployments.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server OS & WinPE OS administration, with basic Linux and Windows scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash preferred).
  • Competence in Network troubleshooting across Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3.
  • Experience with Virtual Machine setup and environment configurations.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+ (or equivalent), CCNA, and MCP/MSCE.
  • Experience with Linux PXE services is a plus.
