Purpose of the Role
The Mid-Level Project Manager is responsible for managing medium-sized projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role involves coordinating project resources, monitoring progress, managing risks, and maintaining alignment with organizational objectives and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
Manage medium-sized projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and key deliverables.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Track and report project progress, providing regular status updates to Senior Project Managers and relevant stakeholders.
Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies as required.
Ensure compliance with organizational project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management framework.

Requirements

  • NQF Level 6 or a Degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT) or related field.
  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PRINCE2 certification (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Project Manager role managing medium-scale ICT or business projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Competence in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).
