What you will be doing:
- Design, maintain, and support dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for program and organizational performance.
- Create interactive data visualizations using Power BI or similar tools for strategic and operational decision-making.
- Explore advanced data analysis and visualization techniques like AI predictive modeling and automated data cleaning.
- Work with M&E and program teams to align data, reporting frameworks, and needs. Translate complex data for non-technical stakeholders and support Executive and funder reporting.
- Maintain the organizational data inventory, ensure POPIA compliance, establish consent mechanisms, and document data processes. Define, track, and report on data quality and compliance metrics, and provide staff training on data standards.
- Extract, clean, and analyze data from various systems (Salesforce, LMS, Excel), ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms. Collaborate on data flows and reporting needs, and liaise with the Systems Analyst for platform integration.
- Lead process mapping for improved data workflows, contribute to system improvements from a data perspective, and support the development of data collection tools.
What our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary degree would be ideal (Data Science,Information Systems, Statistics, etc.)
- 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or M&E support
- Experience with Power BI, dashboard development, and proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data analysis techniques.
- Exposure to programme monitoring, reporting, data governance, strong data cleaning, transformation, and visualisation skills, and understanding of POPIA and data governance principles.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and LMS platforms (preferred).
- Experience with KPI development and performance tracking, and process mapping and workflow documentation.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication and collaboration, planning and organisational skills, problem-solving, adaptability, continuous learning, strategic insight, and stakeholder engagement.
