We’re hiring a Cloud Developer (BI, Tableau & DevOps) for one of South Africa’s leading establishments, where data-driven insights play a central role in strategic decision-making.
This role is ideal for a technically strong developer who enjoys transforming complex data into clear, meaningful analytics. You’ll combine your back-end data engineering expertise with advanced Tableau development skills to design and maintain the cloud-based data layers that support enterprise reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and optimising ETL processes using SQL to manage data flow across AWS, Redshift, and Snowflake
- Building robust data models that align with analytical and reporting requirements
- Managing and provisioning cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps or equivalent tools
- Troubleshooting and fine-tuning data warehouse performance
- Developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards that deliver accurate, actionable insights
- Collaborating closely with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensuring all workflows, models, and reports are well-documented and aligned with best practice standards
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Tableau development and data visualisation
- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases
- Background in data processing, extraction, transformation, and modelling
- Working knowledge of AWS, Redshift, and Snowflake environments
- Familiarity with Terraform and Azure DevOps
- A solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modelling
