Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to the SQL upgrade.

Collaborate with database administrators, developers, vendors and project managers to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.

Assess current SQL environment and identify dependencies, risks, and impacts on business processes.

Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to validate requirements and communicate progress.

Support testing and validation activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT).

Prepare clear documentation, including process flows, impact assessments, and upgrade readiness reports.

Update the Master Data Collection Sheet with key activities to provide a view on the status of a DB Server i.e business owner contacted, server build in progress, build server details, target GO-LIVE dates etc.

Manage all activities related to the Change Acceptance Board (CAB) i.e submitting CAB request, obtaining downtime approval from the Business Owner, Presenting CAB and ensuring all change tasks are closed by the end of the GO-LIVE.

Schedule and facilitate the GO-LIVE meeting , ensuring that the Implementation Plan is updated and all relevant stakeholders are included in the meeting.

Log SNOW calls to manage the decommissioning of project servers post the GO-LIVE activities.

Support the Database Administrators with Server Investigations and validation of server data.

Identify project process / “way of work” improvements to streamline or optimize the process.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

Matric

National Diploma in Information Technology / BCom Informatics or equivalent.

Experience and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of SQL databases and related technologies.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT infrastructure or application upgrade projects.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Highly organized, self-starter and able to prioritise project tasks for the day, week and month.

Ability to work with large volumes of data.
