About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in aviation network systems design and development. This role is ideal for engineers who can architect, implement, and optimise complex networks tailored for aviation operations. You will work hands-on, integrating advanced technologies, and building secure, resilient network infrastructures.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain aviation network systems while collaborating with internal teams to ensure optimal performance and security.

What You’ll Be Doing

Network Design & Implementation

  • Design, develop, and implement LAN, WAN, and SDN network architectures specifically for aviation systems.
  • Lead network design projects from concept to deployment, ensuring robust, secure, and optimised performance.
  • Integrate network technologies into aviation hardware, software, and operational workflows.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex network issues.
  • Implement technical resolutions, enhancements, and automation scripts to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain IP plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine network monitoring, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to user manuals, technical guidelines, and training materials.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on network design and implementation, preferably in aviation or aerospace.
  • Demonstrated experience designing networks independently, not just configuring pre-existing systems.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Designing and implementing LAN & WAN
  • SD-WAN, Multicast (PIM, RP), Unicast, OSPF, BGP.
  • Network security
  • QoS
  • VLANs, VPNs
  • Understanding cloud implementation
  • L3 routers, L2+ switches
  • Cisco & Mikrotik
  • Solid understanding of Networking in RF networks
  • Understanding protocols: HTTP/S, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, NTP, SSH, FTP.
  • Networking technologies, principles, and protocols based on OSI model, TCP/IP,UDP, IP addressing and MAC addresses
  • Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies
