We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Technical Manager to lead and develop our network of technicians across South Africa. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on the quality and efficiency of our technical services nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Technician Leadership & Management

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a national team of technicians across multiple divisions (TRRC, Vodacare, Tech Zone).
  • Monitor technician performance, ensuring adherence to service standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Lead disciplinary and performance recovery processes in collaboration with branch managers.
  • Oversee technician schedules, rostering, and national accountability for RTVs and stock management.

Workshop & Escalation Oversight

  • Manage workshop operations, including escalations and high-level repairs.
  • Allocate tasks to senior technicians and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Approve refunds and support the administrative team and technicians in day-to-day operations.

Tools & Equipment Management

  • Ensure all branches are equipped with the correct tooling and equipment.
  • Maintain asset registers and ensure all tools are functional and compliant.
  • Manage procurement of required tools and equipment.

Training & Development

  • Define technical skill levels and implement quality control standards.
  • Develop and deliver continuous training programs for new and existing technicians.
  • Manage Apple GSX training modules and issue TRRC training certifications.

Audits & Store Visits

  • Conduct regular store visits and audits to identify potential risks, revenue leakage, or operational issues.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks and maintain high operational standards.

Bulk Repair Projects

  • Lead bulk repair projects across Cell Sell, Cellucity, and other divisions.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative teams to ensure timely and quality repairs.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of technical repair standards and training processes.
  • Willingness to travel nationally.
