Scrum Master
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to support, guide, and optimise Agile delivery within cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, enabling continuous improvement, and ensuring teams deliver high-quality products that meet business objectives.
This role requires someone who is passionate about Agile principles, a strong communicator, and a servant leader dedicated to empowering high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Leadership
- Guide and coach the Scrum team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum best practices.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the Product Owner in ensuring the product backlog is clear, prioritised, and organised.
- Foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Delivery & Performance
- Track team progress using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, sprint goals).
- Identify and remove impediments to ensure the team stays focused and can deliver effectively.
- Promote consistent, predictable delivery cycles and help drive the team toward meeting sprint commitments.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate communication and alignment between the team, Product Owner, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure expectations are clearly understood, managed, and communicated.
- Assist in managing external dependencies that affect team delivery.
Continuous Improvement
- Coach the team on self-organisation, cross-functionality, and building a culture of accountability.
- Encourage experimentation and adoption of new tools and practices that enhance delivery.
- Support organisational Agile maturity and participate in scaling practices when required (e.g., SAFe, Spotify model).
