The Role: Senior Microsoft BI Developer
This role is focused on designing and delivering complex BI solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform. You’ll play a central role in the full solution lifecycle-from architecture to deployment-while working closely with clients and mentoring junior developers. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, particularly in Fabric Architecture, data governance, and scalable data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on, dedicated experience as a BI Developer
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end BI solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform
- Build and manage Fabric components including Lakehouses, Dataflows (Gen2), Notebooks, and Data Pipelines
- Contribute to architecture design for scalability and performance
- Implement data governance, alerting, and monitoring within the Fabric ecosystem
- Lead client-facing discussions, capturing and translating requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor and upskill junior team members to grow technical capabilities
About You
- 3+ years of experience in BI development, with recent, hands-on exposure to Microsoft Fabric
- In-depth knowledge of Lakehouses, Dataflows (Gen2), Notebooks, and Data Pipelines
- Strong understanding of Fabric Architecture and best practices for scalability
- Experience setting up data governance, alerting, and monitoring within Fabric
- Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
- Enjoys mentoring and fostering technical growth in junior developers
- Highly advantageous: Microsoft Certifications in Fabric, Power BI, or Azure Data/AI (proof via Microsoft Learn transcript required)
