Salary: Up to R32,000 CTC (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

An established organization in Johannesburg North is seeking a Credit Facilitator to join their team. This is not a standard collections role; it requires a leader who can effectively manage credit functions while maintaining exceptional relationship management and conflict resolution skills. We are looking for a patient, people-oriented professional who can lead a team through complex financial negotiations with empathy and tact.

Key Responsibilities

Credit & Collections Management

  • Effectively perform full-function credit facilitation and collections.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and initiate appropriate collection actions.
  • Manage complex debt negotiations while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Ensure all collection activities adhere to industry regulations and internal policies.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide direct leadership and guidance to a team of credit staff.
  • Foster a collaborative environment focused on performance and professional growth.
  • Handle escalated conflicts and provide resolutions that balance business needs with client retention.

Relationship Management

  • Act as a key liaison between the organization and various stakeholders.
  • Utilize high EQ to navigate difficult conversations and resolve disputes.
  • Promote a culture of excellent service and effective communication across the credit department.

Minimum Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Credit Collections.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Credit Management, or a related field.

Language & Communication:

  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Fluency in multiple African languages is required to effectively support a diverse client base.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
