Job Description

  • Gathers data from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, APIs and surveys
  • Cleans and preprocesses data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Creates dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Excel
  • Writes queries using SQL to extract and manipulate data
  • Presents findings in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders
  • Generates regular reports to track performance metrics and KPIs
  • Uses statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns and correlations
  • Performs exploratory data analysis to uncover insights
  • Segments data to understand different user behaviours or market segments
  • Collaborates with teams to understand business goals and data needs
  • Translates business questions into data queries and analysis
  • Provides recommendations based on data driven insights
  • Ensures data privacy and security standards are met
  • Follows organisational and legal guidelines for data handling

  • Creates, updates, reviews and maintains defined processes
  • Assesses, analyses and optimises end to end business processes to improve efficiencies, customer and employee experience and remove inefficiencies
  • Facilitates and coordinates end to end implementation of prioritised and approved projects
  • Analyses business processes and workflows to identify improvement or automation opportunities and facilitates implementation
  • Develops, encourages and nurtures collaborative relationships
  • Assesses own performance through seeking timely and clear feedback and requests training where appropriate
  • Develops new insights into situations and applies innovative solutions to make organisational improvements
  • Ensures compliance with legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
  • Compiles reports that track progress and guide business decision making
  • Compiles reports relating to building technical equipment
  • Focuses on providing optimal services and improving service delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Builds working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
  • Performs user acceptance testing
  • Collaborates with stakeholders including Risk, Compliance, Operations, Legal, Sales, Brand and Customer Experience and Fleet and Leasing
  • Translates business requirements into functional requirements
  • Evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement and designs and implements solutions

Minimum Qualification

  • Relevant degree in BSc Information Systems, BCom Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Bachelor of Business Science or related
  • 5 years experience within Financial Services or Automotive, of which 1 to 2 years experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist

Knowledge Required

  • Knowledge of data analysis, interpretation and presentation to stakeholders in a simplified manner
  • Experience in development and interpretation of reports
  • Ability to write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
  • Use of programming languages such as Python or R for deeper analysis
