A well-established organisation operating in a data-intensive, investigative environment is seeking a Data Technologist to support advanced data sourcing, analysis, and reporting. This role is ideal for a technically strong data professional with an interest in financial and transactional analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational data requirements
- Source, map, integrate, and analyse statistical and visual/spatial data
- Perform database programming, including scripts, stored procedures, and functions
- Support data integration and migration activities
- Conduct data quality assurance and resolve database issues
- Design analytical models to detect anomalies and trends
- Prepare analytical reports and present findings to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate data and technical documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
- SAS and/or SQL Server certification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analysis, data mining, modelling, or coding
- Strong quantitative and programming skills
- Experience with financial or transactional data analysis
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar BI tools
Additional Information
Knowledge of financial flows and illicit financial activity will be advantageous. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
