A senior opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Data Technologist to lead the sourcing, integration, and analysis of complex financial, statistical, and visual/spatial data to support forensic investigations and law-enforcement-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engagement with business teams to understand forensic and analytical data requirements.
- Identify and develop new data sources and oversee data collection tools.
- Lead database programming, including scripts, stored procedures, and functions.
- Plan and implement secure data integration and migration activities.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance through testing and optimisation.
- Design and oversee analytical and statistical models to identify anomalies and suspicious patterns.
- Produce high-quality analytical reports and insights for decision-making.
- Conduct big data analysis and provide advanced analytical support.
- Present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan, allocate, and review team deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems.
- SAS or SQL Server certification (compulsory).
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in advanced data analysis, modelling, and integration.
- Strong quantitative, statistical, and programming skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI.
- Experience in economic/transactional analysis and data mining.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of financial flows and illicit financial activities will be an advantage.
