A senior opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Data Technologist to lead the sourcing, integration, and analysis of complex financial, statistical, and visual/spatial data to support forensic investigations and law-enforcement-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement with business teams to understand forensic and analytical data requirements.
  • Identify and develop new data sources and oversee data collection tools.
  • Lead database programming, including scripts, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Plan and implement secure data integration and migration activities.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance through testing and optimisation.
  • Design and oversee analytical and statistical models to identify anomalies and suspicious patterns.
  • Produce high-quality analytical reports and insights for decision-making.
  • Conduct big data analysis and provide advanced analytical support.
  • Present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, allocate, and review team deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems.
  • SAS or SQL Server certification (compulsory).
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in advanced data analysis, modelling, and integration.
  • Strong quantitative, statistical, and programming skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI.
  • Experience in economic/transactional analysis and data mining.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of financial flows and illicit financial activities will be an advantage.
