BI Development & Delivery
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
- Build complex DAX formulas and calculations to support advanced analytics.
- Develop and maintain BI data models from the ground up, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and visualisations.
Data & Backend Management
- Work extensively with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimisation.
- Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes.
- Implement and manage SSAS models (tabular/multidimensional).
- Apply best practices in data modelling, database design, and performance tuning.
Business Engagement
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders to gather, refine, and prioritise requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Operate independently in requirements gathering due to the absence of a dedicated Business Analyst.
Solution Development & Automation
- Develop Power Apps to support business processes where required.
- Create and maintain VBA solutions for automation and reporting enhancements.
Minimum Requirements:
Technical Skills
- 5 years + Advanced Power BI development experience
- Strong DAX expertise (complex calculations and optimisation)
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases
- Experience with SSIS and SSAS
- Power Apps development capability
- VBA programming skills
- Strong data modelling and BI architecture experience
