FNB Connect now offers more than 160 technology products priced below R5 000. The range includes smartphones, tablets, wearables, gaming accessories, premium audio products, smart home devices and health technology, helping customers access the technology they need without compromising on choice.

“Technology has become a necessity for many households, supporting everything from work and education to banking, communication and entertainment,” says Sashin Sookroo, CEO of FNB Connect.

The growing range reflects how customer technology needs have evolved beyond smartphones alone. Today, customers can choose from a broad selection of devices across multiple technology categories, with the flexibility to pay using cash, eBucks or repayment options ranging from three to 36 months.

Sookroo says affordability has become about much more than simply finding the cheapest device.

“Affordability is no longer simply about finding the lowest price. It’s about having meaningful access and choice. FNB Connect offers technology across a broad range of categories and price points, from value-conscious purchases and certified pre-owned devices to premium brands such as Apple, Samsung and Bang & Olufsen. Whether customers are looking for the best deal, a trusted premium brand, or the right balance between features, quality and value, they can choose the technology that’s right for them.”

The range spans multiple technology categories, including:

  • Smartphones from brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and Honor
  • Tablets for work, study and everyday productivity
  • Premium audio products including Apple AirPods, Beats and Samsung Galaxy Buds
  • Gaming accessories, including PlayStation controllers
  • Smartwatches and fitness wearables
  • Health devices, including blood pressure monitors
  • Smart home devices and connected lifestyle technology

The range also includes 14 certified pre-owned smartphones and laptops, including iPhone XR devices from R4 499. This gives customers access to premium technology at more accessible price points and reflects growing demand for quality devices that deliver value without compromising performance.

Sookroo says people are no longer simply replacing a phone; they are increasingly looking for technology that supports different aspects of their daily lives.

“Whether it’s a laptop for studying, a smartwatch for health and fitness, a smartphone to stay connected or headphones for entertainment, customers are looking for technology that helps them work, learn, connect and enjoy more of what matters to them.” He says this shift is changing how customers think about technology purchases.

“Technology has become one of the biggest household purchases consumers make outside of major assets. As such, customers make daily decisions about where their money goes, even when the technology they need has become part of everyday life.” To further enhance value, qualifying customers can earn up to 500GB of bonus data per month for six months and up to 100% back in eBucks value on qualifying device purchases.

“We understand that customers are balancing technology needs against many other household priorities. That’s why we’re focused on making technology more accessible, rewarding and convenient. Customers can choose how they pay, use eBucks towards qualifying purchases, receive ready-to-use SIMs with compatible devices and activate eSIMs digitally on supported devices.”

“Ultimately, we want to help customers access the devices that support how they work, learn, bank and stay connected. By combining flexible ways to pay or part-pay, meaningful rewards and a simple purchasing experience, we’re making technology more accessible, rewarding and convenient.”
