Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Cape Town team and lead the successful delivery of commercial fit-out projects. This opportunity is ideal for a driven construction professional with a strong background in turnkey office and retail fit-outs and a passion for delivering high-quality projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial fit-out projects from planning through to final handover.
- Coordinate project programmes, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage contractors, consultants, suppliers and client relationships.
- Monitor project costs, quality and timelines.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee procurement and contract administration.
- Prepare and present regular project progress reports.
- Ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards while meeting client expectations.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing commercial fit-out projects.
- Proven experience delivering office, retail or corporate interior fit-outs.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting and contract administration.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
