Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced End User Technical Support Technician to provide dedicated onsite technical support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software faults, installing and configuring ICT equipment and ensuring that incidents are resolved efficiently and professionally.
This is a fully onsite position and the successful candidate must be comfortable working independently as the primary technical resource at the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support to end users.
- Install and configure computers, laptops, peripherals and ICT equipment.
- Install operating systems, productivity applications and drivers.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and network endpoint issues.
- Perform hardware repairs and component replacements where required.
- Relocate ICT equipment as required.
- Assist with software and application rollouts.
- Record and manage incidents and service requests through the ITSM system.
- Ensure accurate documentation of work performed and resolutions.
- Support video conferencing, presentations and technical events.
- Assist with network, hardware and system troubleshooting.
- Escalate complex incidents appropriately.
- Maintain professional communication with users and client stakeholders.
- Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery technical requirements.
- Comply with client health, safety, security and technical procedures.
- Perform additional technical duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- A+ certification.
- N+ certification.
- Apple Essentials certification Advantageous
- Linux Essentials certification Advantageous
- Minimum 2 Years relevant IT support experience.
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel between client locations when required.
- No criminal record.
