Samsung is making everyday payments more convenient with the introduction of Scan to Pay provided by EFT Corp, a new QR payment feature now available within Samsung Wallet.

Designed to make in-store transactions fast, seamless and secure, Scan to Pay gives Galaxy users a simple new way to pay at participating merchants. The service provides consumers with a convenient alternative to physical card payments, helping to make checkout quicker and easier.

The process is simple: As soon as the user sees a QR Code as an option to pay, whether Online or at a store, they follow three simple steps:

  • Open Samsung Wallet
  • Scan the QR code
  • Confirm the payment.

to Pay is designed to remove unnecessary friction from everyday transactions. There is no need to carry a physical card or navigate a complicated setup process. At participating locations, users can simply scan the QR code, authenticate their payment and complete their purchase.

The feature is provided by Scan to Pay, a South African alternative payment solutions provider.

With more than 600 000 acceptance locations across South Africa and over 19 million app inclusions across consumer banking, fintech and financial service provider applications, Scan to Pay is helping expand access to frictionless digital payments and accelerate the move towards a more cashless economy.

Payments are protected by Samsung’s defence-grade security platform, while biometric approval adds a layer of security to the payment experience.
