Binance has partnered with Huawei to make the Binance app available on Huawei AppGallery in South Africa.
Huawei smartphone users can now download the Binance app directly from the Huawei AppGallery, giving local users another way to access the platform on their devices.
For many South Africans, managing money now happens on a phone. From banking apps to digital payments, people increasingly expect financial tools to be simple to use and easy to access. For those who are new to crypto, access also needs to come with education. Binance Academy offers free learning resources on crypto and digital assets, with no account required.
Binance is trusted by more than 300 million people in over 100 countries. Launching on Huawei AppGallery extends that reach to approximately 8.5 million Huawei users in South Africa who want more choice in how they save, send and manage their money.
“Our goal is simple. We want to make Binance available to as many people as possible wherever they are and whatever device they use,” says Larry Cooke, director at Binance Africa. “Working with Huawei means more South Africans can take control of their finances through a platform they trust straight from the phone in their pocket. That is what freedom of money looks like.”
“Binance brings a comprehensive digital asset experience to AppGallery, giving our users access to a platform where they can explore, manage and learn about crypto in one place,” says Peter Feng, GM of Huawei South Africa Consumer Business Group. “It is a strong addition to the growing range of financial services available to Huawei users.”
Access is only the first step. Binance believes people make better financial decisions when they understand the tools they use. With Binance Academy, users can take free, plain-language courses on how digital assets work, how to keep their accounts safe and how to spot scams.
“Education sits at the heart of everything we do,” Cooke adds. “Making the app easier to download matters but helping people understand how crypto works matters more. When people learn before they act, they gain the confidence to use digital assets on their own terms.”
