SoftwareOne has achieved the AWS Data Competency in both the Analytics and Database categories.

The Data Service Competency involves rigorous technical validation across the full data lifecycle. It recognises AWS Partner Network (APN) members with proven customer success and deep technical expertise helping organisations turn fragmented data into holistic, AI-ready architectures on AWS.

The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise. The two categories of the AWS Data Services Competency reflect how these capabilities support customers in building modern data architectures.

  • Database Services: SoftwareOne helps customers migrate, modernise, and manage production database workloads on AWS. This includes supporting customers in building applications on the right type of database and running FinOps-driven modernisation assessments that identify where databases can be modernised to reduce cost and improve efficiency and performance.
  • Analytics: SoftwareOne helps customers extract value from their data, building data lakes and analytics platforms on AWS that turn fragmented data into insight they can act on.

“We help customers put their data to work by optimising and modernising databases and building the data foundations that AI and agentic AI projects depend on,” says Gudmundur Adalsteinsson, chief channels and ecosystems officer at SoftwareOne. “This brings our total number of AWS competencies to 22, reflecting all of the different ways that SoftwareOne helps our customers innovate.

The competency builds on SoftwareOne’s existing AWS credentials, including the AWS Al Services Competency and AWS Machine Learning Competency, and its participation in the AWS Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance. Together, they reflect SoftwareOne’s ability to take customers from data foundations to AI in production.
