Datatec has announced the appointment of Marco de Lima as group strategy and corporate development director, reporting directly to the CEO.
In his new role, effective immediately, De Lima will work closely with the CEO, Jens Montanana, to craft and implement strategies in support of the group’s divisions.
He will also join the executive boards of the main operational subsidiaries and help to identify and drive development opportunities.
De Lima was previously vice-president: corporate development and M&A at Datatec and will continue to be responsible for M&A with oversight through the CFO’s office.
De Lima joined Datatec in 2007 and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics and also qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in the UK. He will relocate from Singapore to Europe to take up his new position.
Montanana comments: “Marco has considerable experience and an extensive track record of over ten years within Datatec in various divisional and group corporate finance, business development and M&A roles. He is extremely well placed to take on this important position and to help steer the Group in its next phase of development.”
