Tsebo Solutions Group is currently looking for a Application Maintenance and Support Manager who will be responsible for the maintenance, uptime and support of the group applications.

Skills and Competencies
• Exposure to developing and supporting software applications
• Good understanding of a complex business e.g., structure, strategies, processes, goals etc. and of the business environment e.g., industry, competitor, general IT
• Good understanding of processes and systems across multiple business functions and/or local production application systems
• Financially astute with experience of using effective tools to evaluate ROI, develop proposals, control and track project budgets, evaluate vendor costs
• Good knowledge of current and emerging methodologies, technologies and standards related to applications and application architecture with experience of defining robust architecture solutions e.g., road maps for application, technical, data and business architecture, networks, DR & back- up & recovery
• In depth knowledge of testing techniques e.g., end to end, system, integration, stress and unit testing
• In depth understanding of architecture quality assurance with experience of incorporating the different elements into robust solutions

Qualifications
• Diploma – minimum requirement
• Degree – preferable
• Relevant experience in a large environment with multiple stakeholders

Duties and Responsibilities
Applications Support Management
• Responsible for the maintenance and support of the group applications
• Anticipate user requirements and provide input into an appropriate applications technology strategy
• Input into and maintenance of the implementation of the application technology strategy
• Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of application technology
• Understand IT landscape and the impact on the broader group
• Translate and define impacts of business requirements on applications
• Provide application architecture guidance
• Provide input into the Design and implementation of application technology solutions
• Manage application changes via formalized procedures (change control and release management)
• Manage an effective change control process to assess and deliver against user requirements (change control management) and to minimise impacts on business operations (release management)
• Ensure proper documentation of application procedures
• Define and agree service level agreements
• Manage service level agreements to ensure high levels of business satisfaction
• Work with IT operations and infrastructure and vendors to ensure high levels of application availability (availability management)
• Measure and monitor application performance
• Conduct tests to ensure applications conform to required standards and business requirements
• Ensure the definition and implementation of a robust business continuity plan (Continuity management)
• Test business continuity plans on a frequent basis with business and IT
• Project Manage the implementation of patches and minor changes
• Proactively analyse and understand key stakeholders, their business and requirements
• Establish key goal indicators for the management of suppliers and monitor suppliers an 3rd parties accordingly
• Develop and maintain an annual application maintenance supply IT budget and get approval from CIO
• Manage application maintenance IT budget
• Provide input into the management of ROI on implemented projects (benefits realization)
• Report IT financials to CIO on a monthly basis
• Keep abreast of latest trends and technology in supply chain
Stakeholder Manager
• Responsible for the management of the support teams and suppliers to ensure the delivery of agreed service levels
• Engage various stakeholders to ensure understanding of the applications technology strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with business, IT and supply chain stakeholders
• Establish key user forums
• Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and other 3rd parties
• Maintain good working relationship with team members
