Accountable to: Group COO
Purpose of the Role:
To maximize the Founders wealth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Finalization of all company trusts and individual financial statements, tax and audits.
- Agree related party transactions between the various entities, trusts and individuals.
- Investigations into investment opportunities and making recommendations, including building business cases where necessary and completing the various transactions end to end.
- Improving profitability of various business.
- Management of cash flows.
- Tax compliance and optimization of investment decisions and tax structuring.
- Responsible for all governance requirements, with a view to minimizing risk whilst maximizing efficiency and simplicity (maintenance of existing agreements).
- Maintenance of offshore and onshore investment structures.
- Ad-hoc projects managed and completed efficiently, within the necessary time frame.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum BCompt Hons (Accounting Honors)/CA(SA), with articles.
- Minimum 7 years working experience, post articles.
- Strong experience in Tax, Legal and Governance.
- Ability to assess complex situations and use creativity to solve problems.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks within strict timeframes within a fast-paced environment.
