Technical Marketing Actuary – Analysing Healthcare!
The Position: We’re looking for a highly skilled Marketing Actuary to be based permanently in Johannesburg. The pay range on offer is R100 000.00 to R120 000.00 Per Month – dependent on skills and experience within the Healthcare industry.
Requirements:
- Completed Matric – essential
- Completed Full Actuarial Degree and Certification – essential
- Necessary professional membership
- Approximately 12 years experience as an Actuary (in Healthcare) – essential
- Thorough knowledge of the SA Healthcare market – essential
- Actuarial consulting
- Market research and analysis
- Ability to anticipate the changing needs of customers and markets

Responsibilities:
- Play the lead role in the development, maintenance and implementation of the client acquisition strategy
- Play the lead role in the development, maintenance and implementation of the retention strategies for existing clients
- Remain up to date with macro and micro-economic conditions, legislation, competition, market sentiment, and the industry in general, to anticipate and plan for circumstances that may influence the client acquisition and strategies, as well as the company value proposition.
- Ensure that all opportunities to enhance the company value proposition are identified, evaluated, developed and responded to in a timely and appropriate manner
- Ensure appropriate market sectors are analyzed and value-add information is made available to the business
- Working with product development to develop solutions for clients and tools for intermediaries, in an environment that competes head-to-head with other product providers
- Working with the new business development team and IT to propose digital solutions for clients and brokers and bring actuarial insights into these solutions
