Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• 1 year experience in a SHEQ environment
• Microsoft knowledge
• SAMTRAC or equivalent
• Incident/Accident Investigations
• Inspections and Audits
• Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments
• Reviewing of Policies and Procedures
• Non-conformance Reporting
• Reporting on Entropy
• Emergency Preparedness
• Ensure Material Handling Equipment constant and consistent availability for operational sustainability.
• Drivers License and Own reliable transport

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist contract managers with accident/incident investigation, and ensure all supporting documents available and loaded on the Isometrix system
• Conduct SHEQ inspections and accompany SHERQ Manager on Audits
• Conduct inspections on employee files, fleet files and operational processes.
• Identify hazards and risks, report to SHERQ Manager and provide Mitigation measures
• Assist in the review/updating of policy and procedures and checklist
• Conduct plan job observations on processes
• Enforce the safety enforcement system, to ensure compliance to legislation and policy and procedure
• Assist in the event of a crisis and evacuations conducted
• Ensure all incidents/accidents are captured timeously on the Isometrix system and monitor closure
• Reporting Injuries on duty on systems and assist to complete COID process
• Ensure all vehicles and Material Handling Equipment operators conduct pre-start inspections.
• Carry out inspections on all fleet / MHE, ensuring all fleet /MHE is serviceable
• Carry out weekly site inspections and report deviations
• Carry out system checks and ensure all contracts information updated and loaded on Isometrix.
• Ensure maintenance schedules are determined and adhered to.
• Ensure house-keeping is maintained.
• Ensure that all equipment and all facility, equipment checklists are maintained.
• Ensure that all equipment relating documentation is maintained.
• Liaise with Contract Manager and Contract Supervisor for all contract SHERQ matters
• Compile incident reports relating to drive cam/ mix telematics and fatigue events weekly and monthly
• Liaise with SHERQ Manager on all SHERQ related matters
• Assist with campaigns and road shows
• Maintaining SHERQ files at the contracts
• Conduct safety inductions and update matrix.
• Assist to ensure all legal compliance at the sites met
