Job Advert Summary
The Premier of the Western Cape invites all interested persons to apply to be appointed in terms of section 11 of the Western Cape Community Safety Act, 2013 (Act 3 of 2013)(the Act), as the Western Cape Provincial Police Ombudsman.
Minimum Requirements
The functions of the Ombudsman are —(a) to receive and investigate complaints submitted in terms ofsection 16 of the Act regarding inefficiency of the police or abreakdown in relations between the police and any community; and(b) to perform the other functions assigned to him or her under theAct.

Applicants must be suitably qualified, with experience in the field of law or policing.

The appointment will be made in accordance with section 11(2) of the Act for a non-renewable term not exceeding five years.

Shortlisted candidates must undergo a vetting process.
