A client in the mining sector is looking to employ a strong hands-on Financial Manager with at least 10 years post articles experience in a financial management role.

Responsibilities will include:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements
Monthly reporting
Ensuring financial accounting controls and procedures are in place
Compliance with relevant statutory and other legislation
Debtors, Creditors & Cash flow management
Monthly consolidations
Review of recons
Trial balance management
Budgets and forecasting
Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits
Manage a small finance team
Travel to the mine will be necessary every couple of weeks

Experience and qualifications:
At least 10 years’ operational financial management experience in similar role
A degree with articles (advantageous)
Advanced Excel
Experience with ERP systems and knowledge of MIS (systems development) advantageous
Strong report writing and interpretation skills
Ability to manage and maintain full function accounting
Good managerial skills
