Minimum Requirements

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering Diploma (non-negotiable)
  • Registerable as a Professional Engineering Technician (non-negotiable)
  • 10 years railway signal maintenance experience
  • 3-5 years management experience
  • Effective self -management with a sense of initiative, accountability, and responsibility
  • Prior experience working within a Safety Critical environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills

Responsibilities

  • Exercise leadership and supervision of personnel and activities related to Signalling, Radio and Communication maintenance in terms of training, safety regulations and safe work procedures.
  • Establish a maintenance plan taking into account internal and outsourced resources
  • Ensure execution of preventative and corrective maintenance in a timely manner to meet all performance targets
  • Ensure proper incident management
  • Ensure effective management of the Signalling and Radio network Sub Contractors
  • Compile and manage Signalling, Radio and Communication Budget

Contractual Information

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Willing to be on 24/7 Standby
  • Willing to undergo Medical Testing
