Our client in the FMCG industry has an opportunity available for a Quality Coordinator, to be based in the Killarney, Cape Town area.
Requirements:
- Matric with Maths and Sciences
- BSc: Food Science, Biotechnology or National Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology
- Full competency in this role is typically develop over the 2 – 5 year period within a food manufacturing/processing environment
- Knowledge of ISO standards, PRP’s GMP, Food Technology, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, World class manufacturing and quality practices and models
- Specific product and process knowledge, Management systems, Problem Solving Tools, Mathematics, Audit Compliance, Aseptic sampling methods
- Ability to maintain Food Safety management and Quality Control systems in line with best practice
- QC skills and use of apparatus
KPAs:
- Good laboratory practices and standards are maintained
- Manage the Lab Testing and Sampling Function
- Maintenance of Quality Control Test Data, Specifications and Records
- Equipment Calibration Control
- Manage Incoming Goods Inspection Process
- Manage the Plant Quality Control Function
- Management of the Finished Goods Pending, Q’ Hold and Release System
- Assist with Maintenance of Systems
- Initiate Non-Conformance Report and Incident Investigations
- Assist with Customer Complaints Investigations
- Identifies risks in area of responsibility and immediate operations
