Our client in the FMCG industry has an opportunity available for a Quality Coordinator, to be based in the Killarney, Cape Town area.

Requirements:

  • Matric with Maths and Sciences
  • BSc: Food Science, Biotechnology or National Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology
  • Full competency in this role is typically develop over the 2 – 5 year period within a food manufacturing/processing environment
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, PRP’s GMP, Food Technology, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, World class manufacturing and quality practices and models
  • Specific product and process knowledge, Management systems, Problem Solving Tools, Mathematics, Audit Compliance, Aseptic sampling methods
  • Ability to maintain Food Safety management and Quality Control systems in line with best practice
  • QC skills and use of apparatus

KPAs:

  • Good laboratory practices and standards are maintained
  • Manage the Lab Testing and Sampling Function
  • Maintenance of Quality Control Test Data, Specifications and Records
  • Equipment Calibration Control
  • Manage Incoming Goods Inspection Process
  • Manage the Plant Quality Control Function
  • Management of the Finished Goods Pending, Q’ Hold and Release System
  • Assist with Maintenance of Systems
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Report and Incident Investigations
  • Assist with Customer Complaints Investigations
  • Identifies risks in area of responsibility and immediate operations
