Senior management role reporting and accountable to the School Principal in providing vision, leadership and direction for the school which is based in Gabarone.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Developing the educational aims and objectives of the school and devising strategies to achieve them
  • Assisting the Principal in co-ordinating the school plan and policies

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Principal in the day to day management of the school – monitor daily activities as well as emerging issues
  • Manage academic performance
  • Curriculum Development and Syllabus implementation
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Enrolments and admissions
  • Supervisory role to all the Primary school employees
  • Human resources activities
  • Health and Safety
  • Career development programs
  • Digital Literacy implementation and running
  • Academic system monitoring, planning, development and implementation

Requirements/ Competencies / Skills:

  • Recognized Higher Diploma in Education and or Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • 15 years’ teaching, experience with 6 years’ experience in school management and 2 years experience in a Deputy Principal role
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
  • Good organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player
