Knight Piésold consulting engineers is part of the Knight Piésold global group, providing services to the mining, water supply and civil engineering industries. We are sourcing talent for a Structural Engineer for our Rivonia office.
Minimum Requirements :
- BSc. Eng/B Eng (Civil)
- Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA. Professionally registration (Pr Eng.) will be advantageous
- Has worked on medium to large structural projects – mainly for mining and water infrastructure provision clients
- Design experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel, across a broad spectrum of project types
- Have a minimum of five years working in a civil/structural design engineering environment
- Be computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite, Finite Element analysis, Prokon, STRAP or other structural software. Must be proficient in AutoCad drawing software
- Have sound communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Be analytical and is able to solve complex engineering problems
Key responsibilities will include:
- Structural designer in concrete and structural steel
- Provides assistance with marketing/tendering activities in support of business growth
- Ensures that structural engineering standards are maintained
- Compilation of tender documents, conducting site inspections, conducts feasibility studies and management of small to medium projects.
- Ensuring compliance QMS systems
- Be prepared to travel within and outside SA borders.
