We are assisting a top Global Commercial Insurer in finding an Operations Manager – Africa. This role is responsible for Production / BAU management of teams in SA and 7 African Countries with multiple offices.
The role cuts across multiple functional areas: Claims, Policy Servicing, Invoicing, Credit control, Marine Operations and MMB Operations. You will be required to manage senior managers, managers and team leaders.
The successful candidate will have managed diverse teams in multiple regions.
Requirements:
- Degree in applicable field
- 10+ years’ experience in management of diverse teams in different regions
- FAIS complaint
Responsibilities:
- Manages departments that includes multiple teams led by Managers and/or Supervisors.
- Owns the execution of group strategy and the operational direction of the Department.
- Problems faced are often complex and may require extensive investigation and analysis.
- Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
- Deliver superior service to clients by driving and optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of people, processes and technology thereby enhancing financial performance, increasing investment capacity, and managing risk.
- Builds the sustainable and repeatable capabilities that support delivery of the highest standards of service and execution.
- Analyzes and reviews claims, data tools, business processes and operational standards to execute service delivery.
- Evaluates and ensures that operations meet company objectives, business needs, service agreements and relevant requirements.
- Researches and monitors the external landscape to identify developments and translate them into operational implications for the company (e.g., legislation impacting claims processing, regulations impacting business operations and QA standards).
