Minimum Requirements
- BEng Degree
- Min 8-10 years’ experience within a rolling stock environment(non-negotiable)
- 5-8 years maintenance management experience within a railway (rolling stock) environment
- Experience within technical maintenance, corrective maintenance, planning and execution
- Strong management skills with prior experience managing large teams within a shift environment
- Extensive expertise in manufacturing disciplines, together with HSE and quality standards is required.
- Leadership skills required include clear concise communicator at all levels and across all functions of the organization. Be a champion of safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance of rolling stock processes, drawing up a planning scheduleto meet delivery requirements.
- Monitor the maintenance processes and adjust as needed to meet delivery targets.
- Introduce systems and structures to ensure smooth system performance of rollingstock within Gautrain contract, directing and aligning support functions to drive themaintenance schedule.
- Liaise among different departments, e.g. Sub-contractors, Vendors & Customer tocoordinate efforts to meet maintenance schedule, ensuring appropriate feedback tosupply as to mitigate against stoppages.
- Ensure effective management of disasters and incidents with rolling stock
