Purpose of the job
This position will take full responsibility for the supervision and management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position will also take full responsibility for the compiling of the supporting file used for submission and the actual submission of SA Mining Equipment Financing utilization requests documents to the Agent for the mining fleet.
Qualification and Experience
- Completed Finance degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Extensive knowledge of Accounting Software, Proficient in Excel, Balance sheet Accounting;
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
KEY Responsibilities- Daily review and release of Accounts Payable payments for multiple companies;- Supervision of Accounts Payable staff ensuring timeous payments of all suppliers;- Following up on all unresolved queries for AP/AR;- Perform credit checks on suppliers;- Monthly review of all outstanding purchase orders;- Monthly reconciliation of Trade Accruals;- Monthly management fee reconciliation’s (AR/AP);- Monthly review and follow up with all bookkeepers on Debtor /Creditor Age analysis;- Assistance with annual budgets;- Preparation of audit schedules and assistance on all audits;- Stand in for AP/AR when necessary;- Ensuring that all company Policies and Procedures are strictly complied with;- Sundry accounting functions as required;- Assist with ad-hoc requests related to but not limited to, tax queries, audit queries and similar statutory reports;- Assistance with Equipment Financing support;- Preparation and submission of Equipment Financing utilization requests documents to the Agent for mining fleet on a quarterly basis;- Monthly Equipment Financing Interest reconciliation.
